Summary

'We're doing poetry today' - Oh no is the usual reaction! This project was one way of engaging pupils more fully in exploring word images, atmosphere and meaning in poetry.

Detail

Rather than write a critical evaluation of the poem S/1 were challenged to make a movie, capturing the essence of a poem. The same level of analysis and discussion took place but the knowledge product at the end was different - and oh! the premiere was fab! with pupils (and staff) in diamante and sequins, eating popcorn.
